For years, water softeners were the primary solution for addressing hard water issues. Although alternatives such as magnets, electromagnets, RF devices, and catalysts have been introduced, they haven’t shown significant effectiveness. Recently, the term “Salt-Free Water Softener” has gained attention as a way to describe the distinctive qualities of TAC technology, which provides similar benefits to traditional softeners without the need for salt. We prefer to call it a Salt-Free Water Conditioner, as this better captures the hydrodynamic characteristics of this innovative system.

THE SUPERIOR WATER SOFTENER ALTERNATIVE

Template Assisted Crystallization® (TAC®) is the embodiment of a new technology. Atomic level templates on the surface of small specially treated polymer spheres transform dissolved CaCO3 to a crystalline form. The crystals are relatively insoluble, effectively isolating the CaCO3 from the water chemistry and anything the water contacts.

Crystal Formation

Atomic sized nucleation sites on the surface of small polymer beads convert dissolved hardness into microscopic crystals.

Crystal Release

Once the crystals grow to a certain size they are released from the bead. The crystals in solution keep the hardness out of the water so that it can’t form scale or interfere with soap.
